Acceptance of Terms
By adding Lumigence to your Discord server, using our commands, or otherwise accessing our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use our service.
Important Note
These terms apply to all users, including server administrators, moderators, and members who interact with Lumigence in any way.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
Service Description
Lumigence is an AI-powered Discord bot that provides various features including:
- AI Conversation: Natural language chat interactions
- Web Search: Real-time information retrieval from the internet
- Image Generation: AI-powered image creation and editing
- Document Analysis: Processing and analyzing uploaded files
- Customizable Responses: Personality and style adjustments
Underlying AI Technology
Lumi is built upon a sophisticated pre-trained artificial intelligence model. While this powerful technology provides a broad base of knowledge and capabilities, Lumi's specific persona, conversational style, and targeted functionalities have been developed, configured, and continuously improved by Lumigence through custom instructions and data.
Beta Status
Beta Service Notice
Lumigence is currently in beta testing. This means:
- Features may change or be temporarily unavailable
- Performance may vary and occasional downtime may occur
- We're actively developing and improving the service
- Your feedback helps shape future development
Usage Limits
To ensure fair access for all users, we implement the following limits:
- 20+ messages per user per day
- 3 image generations per user per day
- File uploads limited to 20MB per file
- Supported file types: PDF, DOCX, PPTX, TXT, images
Rate Limits
Rate limits help ensure fair and reliable access for everyone. Your usage is subject to the following limits, which reset automatically:
- Command Rate Limits
- Per minute: 6 commands
- Per hour: 20 commands
- Image Rate Limits
- Per minute: 2 images
- Per hour: 3 images
User Responsibilities
Account and Server Management
- You are responsible for managing Lumigence's permissions in your Discord server
- Server administrators must ensure compliance with Discord's Terms of Service
- You must not share access credentials or attempt to circumvent usage limits
- Report any security vulnerabilities or bugs to our support team
Content Responsibility
- You are solely responsible for all content you submit to Lumigence
- Ensure you have rights to any uploaded documents or images
- Do not upload confidential, sensitive, or personal information
- Respect intellectual property rights in your interactions
Community Guidelines
Creating a Positive Environment
Help us maintain a welcoming community by:
- Being respectful to other users and our development team
- Providing constructive feedback and bug reports
- Not exploiting bugs or vulnerabilities
- Following Discord's Community Guidelines
Prohibited Use
You may not use Lumigence for any of the following purposes:
Illegal Activities
- Any illegal activities or promoting illegal content
- Harassment, hate speech, or discriminatory content
- Sharing malicious software or attempting to hack systems
- Violating any applicable laws or regulations
Abuse and Misuse
- Attempting to bypass rate limits or usage restrictions
- Using the service to spam or flood Discord channels
- Generating harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
- Reverse engineering or attempting to extract our AI models
Commercial Restrictions
- Using Lumigence for commercial purposes without permission
- Reselling or redistributing our service
- Creating competing services using our technology
Enforcement
Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate termination of service access and may be reported to appropriate authorities.
Privacy and Data Handling

We collect and process the following information:
- Discord User ID: For identifying users and enforcing rate limits
- Message Content: Only what you directly send to Lumigence
- Uploaded Files: Temporarily processed for analysis
- Usage Statistics: Anonymous metrics for service improvement
Data Usage
- Providing and improving our AI services
- Maintaining conversation context during sessions
- Enforcing usage limits and preventing abuse
- Analyzing service performance and reliability
Data Protection
Security Measures
- No Permanent Storage: Conversations are not permanently stored
- Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
- Limited Access: Only authorized developers can access system data
- Regular Deletion: Temporary data is automatically deleted
Third-Party Services
Lumigence integrates with:
- Discord API: For bot functionality
- AI Services: For conversation and image generation
- Web Search APIs: For real-time information
These services have their own privacy policies which also apply to your use of Lumigence.
Limitations and Disclaimers
Service Availability
- We aim for 99% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service
- Maintenance windows may cause temporary service interruptions
- Beta status means features may change or be temporarily unavailable
- We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features
AI Limitations
AI Accuracy Disclaimer
Lumigence uses AI technology which has inherent limitations:
- Responses may occasionally be inaccurate or inappropriate
- AI-generated content should be verified for important decisions
- Web search results reflect internet content accuracy
- Image generation may not always match expectations
Liability Limitations
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Lumigence is provided "as is" without warranties
- We are not liable for damages resulting from service use
- Users assume all risks associated with AI-generated content
- Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the service (currently $0)
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lumigence and its developers from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.
Termination
User Termination
You may stop using Lumigence at any time by:
- Removing the bot from your Discord server
- Stopping all interactions with the bot
- Contacting us to request account deletion
Service Termination
We may terminate or suspend access to our service:
- Immediately, for violation of these Terms
- With notice, for service discontinuation
- For legal or safety reasons
- For extended periods of service abuse
Effect of Termination
- All user data will be deleted within 30 days
- Access to all features will be immediately revoked
- These Terms remain in effect for past service use
General Provisions
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where Lumigence operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the service will be resolved through:
- Good faith negotiation between parties
- Mediation if negotiation fails
- Binding arbitration as a last resort
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Lumigence regarding the service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
